2017 vs 2016 Dodge Durango Engine Specs

When you're considering the purchase of a Durango, the good news is that both the 2016 and the 2017 models are extremely stylish and roomy. Under the hood, the 2017 Durango has a larger base engine compared to the smaller 2.4-liter inline-four cylinder on the 2016 Durango.

The 2017 Durango's 3.6-liter V-6 produces over 100 extra horsepower and adds just under 100 lb-ft of torque. This means a higher towing capacity, more hauling capacity, and a generally more responsive drive style when you're in the 2017 Durango.  The higher price for the 2017 Durango might be a deterrent for some, but both model-years come with a variety of comfort and convenience features. Each Durango has a standard six-speaker audio system, standard steering wheel controls and at least three 12V power outlets. Optional features for the 2016 model that are standard on the 2017 model include heated front seats, Bluetooth compatibility, ParkSense Parking Assist, and a sunroof.
